“Rooted in honesty and hope, Marc Burford’s new album Hope and Heart is a powerful testament to finding light through adversity”
Singer-songwriter and producer Marc Burford returns this autumn with his highly anticipated new album, Hope and Heart, set for released on on all streaming platforms now.
Drawing inspiration from some of his most beloved records by Neil Young, Mumford & Sons, Ry X, and Bob Dylan, the album weaves together themes of resilience, reflection, and optimism. Across its tracks, Burford explores the tension between pain and joy, grounding the record in both raw honesty and moments of dreamlike escape.
Recorded over the course of a year at his own Sunrise Sound Studio in Hampshire, Hope and Heart showcases Marc’s distinctive songwriting, textured soundscapes, and collaborative spirit. Several songs feature lyrical contributions from Katt Brown, while Charles Bueller joins for a special collaboration on one track. The album closes with Worlds Apart, a powerful final song co-written and performed with Clint Godwin, which brings the record’s themes of connection and separation into sharp focus. Additional performances from Marc’s close circle of musician friends add further depth to the project, underscoring the community-driven energy behind its creation.
“This album is about finding light even in the darkest times,” Marc explains. “It’s about holding on to hope, embracing the journey, and allowing music to be a space where pain and beauty can co-exist.”
With a career that has seen him tour internationally, earn praise from icons like Pete Doherty and Carl Barât (The Libertines), and secure over 10 million streams worldwide, Burford continues to prove himself as an artist of rare depth and versatility. Hope and Heart is the next chapter in his evolving story — an intimate yet expansive record that resonates with timeless songwriting and modern spirit.
