DIRK VERBEUREN currently the drummer for MEGADETH on the farewell album and tour. DIRK stepped in to finish THE WHISPERING album when the initial drummer KELLGREN was unavailable in the window necessary to finish the album due to the unforeseen closing of BESCO RECORDING in July of 2025. He did not hesitate to reunite wih his 20-year partner in crime LOIC COLIN.
LOIC COLIN, bassist a key figure in technical metal scene for decades with a long-standing rhythmic fusion with DIRK throughout many bands including SCARVE, ONE WAY MIRROR, SOLIUM FATALIS, MANU LIVERTOUT BAND, WATCHA. Loic Colin is also recording engineer in his own right he specializes in high end production. He also is a columnist for Bass Part and Bassiste Magazines.
TOBIAS KELLGREN is a warrior on drums who can be heard on albums by DISSECTION, WOLF, SOULREAPER, AGGRESSIVE CHILL, DECAMERON, or seen on extensive tours in SACRAMENTUM or IN FLAMES.”
LUCIAN FHOR came to France to meet with veteran Producer/Manager, DAN MCCONOMY (MAX CHAOS, MORE, OVERDOSE, OPIUM MOON) to unveil his vision and expectations of the production carrying in hand the initial songs for THE WHISPERING in December 2024. They both agreed to set about and execute this vision. MCCONOMY encouraged LUCIAN to go and get the drummer he envisioned, Swedish drummer TOBIAS KELLGREN from the controversial cult metal sensation band DISSECTION.
The debut album was recorded at the legendary residential BESCO RECORDING studio. It was then finished at MO STUDIO in Paris, exactly a year later to the day on February 7th, 2026. DAN MCCONOMY and his engineer/mixer MOHAMMAD “MOMO” REZA SADEGHIN, LUCIAN made the decision to have the mastering done by legendary RANDY MILLEN of STERLING SOUND whom he had previously worked with to seal the deal.
Now with the wax still smoking hot from the first act we flip the script to Side B which conjures up visions and awakens our senses of what awaits us of THE WHISPERING in the second act. Ready…set…light your candle…

On the horizon, the secrets are slowly being revealed with the video shoot for the first single of THE WHISPERING on March 23rd, 2026, in Los Angeles with FHOR, COLIN and VERBEUREN for the first single. As Dirk fulfills his obligations on the MEGADETH farewell tour. Fhor, Colin, and Kellgren will be shooting a video in April in France and embarking on a European mini-tour and perhaps some surprise last minute appearances on major festivals prior to the actual release of the debut album.
