The Indigo Echoes: From Småland’s Forests to Europe’s Festival Stages

Submitted by Malin Osth and Jonas Tancred / Lilla By Festivalen

Filip Olvenius musical journey began deep in the forests of Småland, Sweden, where the distant echoes of the legendary Hultsfred Festival would drift through the trees every summer. Surrounded by music from an early age, a passion for creating was born; one that would eventually lead him from his home studio to London, where he studied music production and sound engineering at BIMM University. It was there that The Indigo Echoes came to life.

Formed in the heart of London’s eclectic music scene, The Indigo Echoes blends introspective, guitar-driven indie rock with dreamy Americana-pop. The result is a sound that’s as cinematic as it is intimate, and unmistakably personal.

Debut Album: How About Forever? (2024)

Released in 2024, “How About Forever?” introduced The Indigo Echoes as a compelling new voice in the European indie scene. Emotionally charged and sonically rich, the album showcases Filip not only as a singer-songwriter, but also as a sonic architect, weaving textures that feel both timeless and modern. Several tracks were featured on curated playlists, expanding the band’s reach to new international audiences.

On Tour Across Europe

Since the release, The Indigo Echoes has performed across Sweden and Europe, including standout appearances at The Great Escape Festival (UK), Tallinn Music Week (Estonia), Eksjö Stadsfest, and Live at Heart (Sweden). Known for their raw energy and immersive live experience, the band continues to build a reputation as a live act that connects deeply with audiences, both sonically and emotionally.

In 2025, they were also featured at the 5th anniversary of the Lilla By Festivalen in Rinkaby, southern Sweden, a performance praised for its emotional depth and captivating presence.
